Cinema Preview: For A Good Time Call…

SYNOPSIS

Wall-flower Lauren (Lauren Miller) and the irrepressible Katie (Ari Graynor) are polar opposites, and old enemies. But, when they both fail to find the funds to afford their dream New York apartments a mutual friend re-introduces them and, somehow, convinces them to room together. The two have absolutely nothing in common- at least not until Lauren discovers that Katie works as a phonesex operator, and sees a good business opportunity.

SHOULD YOU SEE IT?

Featuring the comedic talents of Seth Rogen and Justin Long, as well having Norah’s drunk friend from Nick And Norah’s Infinite Playlist starring as Katie, For A Good Time Call looks like it might be funny enough, but the characters seem a little stupid. The phonesex subject matter is a good one though, poking fun at the losers who ring premium-rate numbers to listen to bored women pretending to pleasure themselves, and that seems like it’ll make this movie a decent one, in the same vein as Zack And Miri Make A Porno

VERDICT?

Have you ever known Seth Rogen not to be in a good movie? Well then.
