Single Review: Newton Faulkner-Write It On Your Skin

A month ago this reviewer, the editor and head honcho here at Sound And Motion, saw Surrey golden boy Newton Faulkner begging for change in Victoria Train Station.

This prompted a few memories of the dreadlocked folk-artist, especially his first two studio album, and made listening to one of his songs seemed like the only option.

Sadly the beggar turned out to be just a regular homeless person, but the new single Write It On Your Skin more than makes up for that disappointment.

Write It On Your Skin is a real feel good song. While it doesn’t break any new ground it’s effortlessly catchy, and sees Faulkner’s incredibly likeable voice etch on the mind.
