Gaining momentum for their contemporary sound, four-piece alternative rock band Vivid Nation of East Kent have received airplay on a number of respected radio stations and supported the likes of Pegasus Bridge, Mallory Knox, Hildamay, I Am Giant and The Hype Theory. Described as a band that’ll stand the test of time, their sound has been defined as a hybrid of Snow Patrol and Biffy Clyro, with searing guitars and chugging bass lines.
Maidstone locals Atlantica play upbeat and emotional melody-driven post-hardcore, filled with big, catchy choruses rounded off with an aggressive, rough edge. Their sound combines sweetness with chaos, and brings a passionate, energetic element to the live stage.
Formerly wrapped in a more pop-punk package as Trade Secret, Roam are a melodic punk quartet from the sunshine coast of Eastbourne.
Melrose, who had their debut EP Let Me Remind You reviewed by a member of our team, are the freshest pop-punk band to have come out of East Kent. That’s one bold statement, but with the heavy riff work of Chunk! No, Captain Chunk, the glitchy synth of Can’t Bear This Party and the fast-paced energy of Carousel Kings all fused together into their sound, they sure pack a punch.
