The fury and technical prowess of metal goes right to the brink of local volume restriction levels this February 8th, as Brotherhood Of The Wolf, Lands, Here There Be Monsters and Keepsafe unite at Sticky Mike’s Frog Bar.
A deep and violently dark metalcore four piece from the unholy pit that is Plymouth, Brotherhood Of The Lake had their most recent release, The English Way Vol 2, described as a “giant slab of hate filled noise”, and state their influences as simply being hate, misery and anger. Far from just being makers of meaningless noise the cheerful quartet base their songwriting around subjects like social decline, depression, religion and suicide.
A misanthropic ambient/metal five piece with hardcore influence and a ferociously delivered beauty, Lands of Redhill, Surrey take influence from Cult Of Luna, Will Haven, Rinoa and Poison The Well.
Brighton band Here There Be Monsters’ sound covers quite a few subgenres of metal and hardcore, with touches of groove metal, metalcore and thrash all present in their music. With a louder, harder, faster vibe they take influence from the new wave of hardcore and mid-nineties groove metal.
Keepsafe, a melodic/hardcore five piece from London, have their debut EP, Worth Living, available to download now.
